Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Serious Crime!

This beautiful and ripe Spaghetti Squash was found dead at this location October 1. Neighbours appear to have heard no screams or shots. Be on alert and report any suspicious activity!

The Crime Scene 08:00 Oct.1, 2015

Two suspects were noted at the scene. Miss Innocent was checked, but no odour of squash was detected.

Suspect #1  Daphne aka "Miss Innocent"

The Stomach was also checked, but again no incriminating evidence was  seen.

Suspect #2 Brooklyn aka "The Stomach"

Rumours at the coffee shop indicate that a suspect known as "Nibbles" aka "that pesky  rabbit" may be the culprit. However, no evidence was found at the scene. This remains a possibility, but "Nibbles" has not been seen in this area lately.

The investigation continues with clues likely to be found shortly in stool samples when taken. Seeds are not digested.

We will keep you posted on any future findings!

Surprise!

In this mess of leaves  I found a few surprises. I was rooting around wondering what could be in there, and I found a bunch.

This big one was completely hidden by the foliage. I cleared some away to let the sun at it to ripen. It is about 14 inches tall, and probably the biggest pumpkin we have ever grown!

They were all hidden from view.

There must be about 6 pumpkins and 8 or 9 spaghetti squash.

I see lots of pies and meals in the near future!
