Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Cold, Cold Day!

We woke up to -20C (-4F) this morning, plus more snow.
There was snow on the roof
The Sparrows were all fluffed up and at the feeder.

The Blue Jay drove them all off until he had his fill.

So long for now!

  2. Those sweet, little birds are so puffed up against the cold! It doesn't seem to bother the Blue Jay, though!

  3. That sounds frigid! The cold wave is supposed to strike here tonight. Looks like the sparrows are certainly trying their best to keep warm!

  5. Brrrr...I'm SO not ready for the cold stuff. If I hear Polar Vortex all winter again this year, I think I might hibernate! Stay warm!

  7. Ian I'm trying to get caught here.I see you moved and looks like old man winter has gotten there. We're expected to have snow here by Monday.I like winter time. It gives you chance to slow down and get some things done that you couldn't do during a busy summer!
