We woke up to -20C (-4F) this morning, plus more snow.
There was snow on the roof
The Sparrows were all fluffed up and at the feeder.
The Blue Jay drove them all off until he had his fill.
So long for now!
In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest. Two things that horses are scared about: 1. Things that move 2. Things that don't move

ReplyDeleteThose sweet, little birds are so puffed up against the cold! It doesn't seem to bother the Blue Jay, though!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds frigid! The cold wave is supposed to strike here tonight. Looks like the sparrows are certainly trying their best to keep warm!
ReplyDeleteYeeks, how can I complain about OUR winters?? Yours is so early and so cold!
ReplyDeleteBrrrr...I'm SO not ready for the cold stuff. If I hear Polar Vortex all winter again this year, I think I might hibernate! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteAlmost as cold here! Brrr.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue jay.
Ian I'm trying to get caught here.I see you moved and looks like old man winter has gotten there. We're expected to have snow here by Monday.I like winter time. It gives you chance to slow down and get some things done that you couldn't do during a busy summer!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely got more snow than I did here but the birds - they look just as cold!
ReplyDeleteawwww, everyone is hungry and with snow, it's so hard for them to find food!! Very nice images, I think the cold is coming to the jersey shore tomorrow.....I would love to see some snow!!
