The geese are starting to move into the pond. The water is getting to be cold, as noted by Brooklyn who was quite glad to get out after harassing the geese.
The Blue Winged Teal are still hanging around
More stretching!
I know, this is not a pond critter, but rather a Cedar waxwing in the front tree.
We have had about 6 inches of snow which fortunately all melted and several nights of hard frost. It appears fall is in the air!
we had a cool down for a couple of days - in the 70s and 80s, at least. heating back up, though. a/c is running as i type this. tell the geese to come on down!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful action shots! We are cooling down here in KY.
ReplyDeleteWe are cool here in NE Kansas, but going back up into the 80's later this week. Your shots are beautiful, Ian... I don't think of Canadian geese as "flying rats" like many people do... I love them!
ReplyDeleteTis that time of year. I do so enjoy the waxwings although rarely do I get to see one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pieces...BUT ALL THE GEESE ARE COMING HERE! My ponds and streams are getting filled up with Geese and Ducks and it's bloody 90 degrees outside... T_T
