Boots is still on guard, making sure nothing happens to his herd.
Days like this cause a guy to wish for snow! Do you know, it was really too hot to even saddle up a horse, which was my goal early this morning.
In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest. Two things that horses are scared about: 1. Things that move 2. Things that don't move
i'm sure that kind of temperature swing is tough on all of you...
ReplyDeleteThe heat and humidity really is draining! Hope it cools down for you soon...I'm glad for the cooler temps we've been having, along with lower humidity this week...but I'm NOT ready for the "S" word!!
ReplyDeleteI hope it does cool down soon, so you can enjoy some mild temps before winter officially sets in!
ReplyDeleteYikes, poor horses! But all that nice green grass must help make up for the insects.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had a touch of Georgia weather! Welcome to my world. Except for some, 86 degrees might be something of a 'cold snap' down here... OK, that's an exaggeration. It's still an energy zapper though and those mosquitos look ferociously annoying.
ReplyDeleteHere's to cooler weather in both our neck of the woods.
Wow, poor horses! Even looks like your guard dog is hot! Hope it cools soon.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever used the pyrethrum sprays on your horses? They are pretty safe. I've used it on my goats on occasion when I couldn't stand to see them like that anymore. I hate having to use it so I only do it when it's really bad.
ReplyDeleteYikes! Isn't it supposed to cool off a bit now? :) It sure is cooling off here in Tok! I hope you get some relief from that much heat, even just a little. Beautiful pictures as always :)
