Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Old enough to be eccentric, but not rich enough

Peaceful Thursday

It was another work day today. All the gardens are now planted and it looks like it's going to rain. Yahoo! I hauled a bunch of blocks out of the septic field area. One block would just fit in the wheelbarrow. After a few other small jobs, I decided to take a bit of a walk. Boots decided that he would leave his horses and come along. He had to bring a stick for me to toss.

Coming back, he was a little worn out.

What do you mean, who's watching the horses?

I still have these piles to move out, someday.
biz had enough grass and was talking to me about returning to the field for some water. Now that she has lost most of her winter coat, her scar is showing up again. It appears that she caught a hoof when she was a youngster and the owner at the time just left it. The same thing happened with the hole in her neck from a horse bite. Scarred up, short in the tail and mane, she is big of heart and will go where the others won't without complaining.

  2. I'm glad Biz is with you now and not her previous owner. Boots has such a pretty face. Your place is looking so nice and green, again.
