There is not much grass in the riding paddock, but enough to keep three horses going for 2 1/2 hours. Alpine was quite content to wander and eat. Typical horse, head down, tail up.
If you look closely you can see Boots doing the same thing I was doing..horse watching. Tucker lost a fair bit of weight this winter. We are keeping a close eye on her. She is eating good, been dewormed and seems to be doing better on about 2 to 3 hours on grass daily, along with her regular rations. She is now 23 years old which may be getting senior for a quarter horse. I hope not!Alpine doesn't look too bad now that her winter coat is gone.
That black lump in the bushes is Boots, watching away. Can a dog have a compulsive disorder?
boots has been kicked in the head one too many times, bless his doggie heart!
ReplyDeletealpine is SOOOO gorgeous. dang it!
I'm telling you, those horses are sure beautiful. Love the black sheen on Alpine. I thought I saw a dog's face sticking out from behind the bushes. Boots sure gives me a kick in the tickle bone over his horse watching.
