Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Old enough to be eccentric, but not rich enough

Old Barns (Part 2)

While cruising around, I found a few more old barns. It's a shame to see the state they are in compared to what they likely used to look like.

Once the roofs start to let go, then it only takes a few years.

I'm not sure what this one was.

Each time I go by, it seems to lean further.

Maybe a chicken coop?

This one has great style in the traditional manner

OK, I know this wasn't a barn, but with a little TLC, it could be a good house!

Old Barns (Part 1)

A while back, I thought that I would get smart and record the old barns in the area. Alas, there don't appear to be that many left! The old style barn appears to be a thing of the past, replaced by pole barns with vinyl or metal siding.

The hay barn is gone. Replaced by stacked bales under roofs with open sides, or with plastic wrapped  round bales, left out in the open.
Before you jump all over me, I realize that this is not a barn, but somebody's old house. I included it due to a feeling of being sorry for it. All three buildings would have a great story to tell, but alas, nothing was written down.
Have a great day! I will continue to look for old things that are fading away.
