Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Yesterday Was a Ducky Sort of Day!

It was a great day for pictures! Alas, the River is opening up and the birds are dispersing to their nesting areas. In the meantime, I had fun!

Here are a pair of Common Goldeneye

Riverside

The birds are starting to return to the  area. There were lots of Canada Geese on the Athabasca River and the fields around it.
The Common Goldeneye was back in great numbers.
You can see how thick the ice was on the river.
These guys were cute, and very active in the current.

Just a couple of wing shots as they moved back up river.

The Bald Eagles were watching them very closely, particularly the geese.

It's good to see them back!
