Are We Surprised?

Ian --  A document leaked to Chris Varcoe of the Calgary Herald reveals what Wildrose has been saying all along – that the NDP government’s carbon tax plan is going to make life worse for Albertans. Their scheme could lead to 15,000 fewer jobs, a $4-billion drop in household income, lower corporate profits, lower oil exports, and lower economic activity. The NDP just can’t seem to help themselves when it comes to putting ideology over common sense. It’s why we need your help today to fight back!  Wildrose has been asking month after month – even introducing an amendment to the carbon tax bill – just to try to get them to show the full cost of their pricey new experiments. Now we know why they were so afraid to share it. They are willfully ignoring our province’s current economic situation – just last month, we lost 44,000 full-time jobs, and things don’t seem to be getting better anytime soon. What the NDP doesn’t seem to realize is that you don’t get ahead by hurting working families, but that’s exactly what their carbon tax plan is doing. Wildrose isn’t giving up the fight to have the NDP cancel this out of touch carbon tax.
