Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Old enough to be eccentric, but not rich enough

Our Yard

It's big enough for some fruit trees and a garden plus a rhubarb patch. However, it is simply not deep enough for all the snow!
It's not even mid February yet and we have lots more to come
Some of our biggest dumps are in March. I may have to build the 6 foot fence higher!
The two goofy dogs don't seem to mind, but they are both escape artists just waiting for the snow to get to the top of the fence.
As long as there is still room to play, they are happy.
 Very happy!

  3. Wow I hate to share that ours is all gone! I know the feeling though, where to put the next dump when you have to shovel!

  4. Wow these photos are awesome, makes me wish I could see the snow but no snow here since it doesn't get that cold here

  5. Looks like you have some snow! Love to see the dogs playing--makes me smile! We had a neighbor dog once named Toby that looked a lot like Daphne, and was just as lively! I'm not sure whether our older dog liked him or not...the only problem was he never was at his own home, always at ours!

  6. I think the snow is beautiful. But then I don't have to suffer from it. I hope you are happy there Ian and don't miss your place in the country too much..
We went into Autumn on the 1st March, yet its still hot and humid. Even winter has warm to hot days here.
    Keep well and keep warm.
