New Birds at the Feeder

This is the first time that I have seen European Starlings at the feeder. Actually, it is the first time that I have seen one period. I had to look them up!

They seemed to get along with the sparrows.

They actually are a very pretty bird, but I figured they would be long gone south.

That first shot is a beauty! We have a few of them around here too. I like their speckles - they're really pretty when the sunshine hits them.

Not sure if my comment posted. That first shot is a real beauty! We have a few of them around here too. I like their speckles, and they're really pretty when the sun shines on them.

they are beautiful, even if they arrive in hungry hordes!

I've never seen this bird, and it is beautiful! Loved that first shot of it against the red berries! Have a good one!

Ian, they can live in the cold, believe me. :-) I had about 8000 of them the last two years eating me out of house and home.
