Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Moving Along!

It seems to be a long time since my last post! I have been busy doing renovations on the kitchen and dining room area and organizing the garage so that I can find my tools. The garage doesn't have heat (yet), so it has turned into a fair weather job, fair weather being defined as anything above 0C (32F). I must be getting soft!

Several things have happened to the computer which is why the posts haven't been happening. It locked up, went slow and then very unreliable. $250 later, the computer was emptied, erased and had everything re installed. Now it's time to start with my internet provider about slow speeds. Unfortunately, all the blogs I was following got eliminated.

Elaine continues to hold her own, although the diagnosis this week was not good. We are both planning to take it one day at a time, and thank the Lord for both the good and bad days.

This is the 700th post, and it is a little more difficult to find subjects in town. -28C is one of the problems. I am not inclined to go walk-about at these temps! I also go in to the city next Monday for my pre-op exam. The back surgery is getting closer. I will have to get a bird feeder installed outside the window before then, and stock up on videos.

Elaine is planning her trip to Israel with our youngest son and family, and is looking forward to it. The doctor says it's "Now or never". This has been on her bucket list for many years.
