Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

A Good Day's Work!

Have we got raspberries! 46 cups picked so far and probably twice as much to come. So far there are 10 crumbles in the freezer and 24 jars of raspberry jam. One hour of picking gave enough to make the 24 jars.

Guess what I am doing tomorrow? Picking another batch for more jam. Then I will be turning the patch over to some friends to finish off.

I never thought I would ever have too many berries!

We got tired of picking ours and left them for the birds. Great deal as it brought in a pair of cedar waxwings and another bird I saw for a brief moment - a tanager that I've not seen here in years!

You made great work of those! We are having the last on some vanilla ice cream!
