This is the second hummingbird moth that we've seen this year. It is very difficult to get a wing stoppage like I lucked into last year.

Some still blooming. I just found out that busy bees do not like being photographed. No stings, but I was warned.

ReplyDeleteWe get hummingbird moths here, too, but the one in your photo is quite pretty. I love to hear the bees buzzing, just not too close to my face : )

ReplyDeleteI've never seen a hummingbird moth except in pictures, but our farm caretaker saw one a couple of years ago in the summer and got pictures, they are such neat critters! Love the pictures.

ReplyDeletenever heard of a hummingbird moth....love hummingbirds (we have lots of them) but have an irrational phobia of moths (lots of those here too), so not to sure how I would feel about those!
