Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

  1. i can't. received it in an email this week and object to it, just based on description - but is it so different than rodeos? calf-roping is pretty much the same thing.

  2. So much heartless cruelty. I cannot understand the sport of such things. My heart goes out to those poor donkeys. I will be glad to sign the petition.

  3. I hate this kind of excuse for "sport". I can't even go to a rodeo. It's just more animal cruelty: the force and violence of mankind exerted over creation. So, so sad and disgusting.

    Power of the Internet
For everyone that has been following the Donkey Roping Event to be held in Van Horn Texas .... the event has been CANCELED ...... Thanks to 7MSN Blog that brought this to everyone's attention and to all the Facebook and Blog people that signed the petition, sent emails to the Van Horn Chamber of Commerce and the Van Horn City Council this event WILL NOT be held this weekend. I just received and email from the City Administrator. Thanks to everyone that worked to prevent these donkeys from being subjected to cattle prods and roping and being called a sport.

  5. I am way behind on reading blogs but this sounds just awful for sure... I do have to say this does sound very much like calf roping at rodeos as TexWisGirl said...I have never nor will I ever see the fun or sport in mistreating any animal.
