She disappeared for a while, but showed up today. Hopefully she will bring her spotted fawn to the salt lick soon. She has obviously given birth in the last week. Her baby won't be too far away. I didn't look for it as it's hard to sneak around with a couple of dogs. She will present the fawn in due course.
I blew it. I figured I would have time to take this and get a shot of her going over the fence. No such luck! She went over pretty fast!

i read your title and thought 'elaine's back already?!' ha! such a pretty doe. is that nodule on the inside of her back leg normal? i don't get to see any deer here.
ReplyDeleteIs that purdy li'l doe eatin' your garden? She looks mighty healthy....
ReplyDeleteShe's a beauty! I startled a doe and 2 fawns in the spring, and of course I had no camera. (But if I had it along, of course I wouldn't have seen them. It never fails.)
ReplyDeleteShe's so pretty! And those are really good photos.

What wonderful photos. Makes a person want to move out in the wilderness and get away from the crowds. Blessings to you and your family. Lloyd
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! Do you think the deer are getting faster or your getting slower? :-)
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing the little fawn.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the fawn.
