Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Assorted Birds Today

I went for a little drive around the area today and found lots of birds paired up and getting ready for the nesting season

First of all were the Sandhill Cranes found in a field.

Then came a couple of Tundra Geese, always nice to see!

Mallards in the sun are always nice.

All in all not a bad couple of hours spent in the wild!
Have a great day!

Mixture of Birds

The snow storms seemed to concentrate the migrating birds in fields on the Athabasca River. This Kestrel? was watching all the birds, wondering what to have for lunch

There was a mixed bag of Sand Hill Cranes in amongst the geese ducks and Tundra Swans.

A few Blue Wing Teal were also in the field

Best of all were the Tundra Swans. They are a majestic bird.

Of course, what would be a field in spring without a load of Canada Geese?

And of course, more Swans I wanted to get some in-flight pictures, but did not want to disturb them.
