Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Before and After!

I won't show the original fake, ugly brown wood paneling, but if you look closely, you can see it inside the cupboards. Ugh!

It took six days to finish the project due to the special primer and paint. A good time to do it was when Elaine was overseas. Basically, the kitchen was unusable for the six days, which was a good excuse to go out evenings and eat junk good tasting food.
I am hoping that the surprise will be a good one for Elaine. I basically said that I was puttering around the house, which is true.
The counter top was a close match to the new ones I installed earlier and is a granite stone material that also took a lot of applications. Two coats of primer, two coats of granite compound and two coats of finisher. Curing time was 4 hours between coats and 24 hours between steps. It will continue to harden over the next seven days.
The best part was that the project was done with two days to spare before Elaine gets home!
This should bring in a whole bunch of brownie points to be used during fishing/hunting seasons

Oh yeah, my back operation has been delayed again to May 25th.
