Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Too Hot!

The Great Blue Herons are back. I had not seen any until today.

They sure look like  a "Funkey chicken"
They are a really neat bird, though
Here is another Red Winged Blackbird, one of many.

You can hide, but I will find you!

So, you think that you have trouble with kids! There are two pair on Rotary Park with 8 kids each.

Last, but not least is this male Bufflehead. +29C today, and too hot in the sun!

Thursday Cuteness Plus

The parents were very possessive. I found a goose egg (empty) on the shore yesterday, so I figured these guys were just hatched.

Dad was playing follow up to keep them in line.
They are cute little fluff balls.
They were all sticking very close, and were not happy about me being on the shore.
 Yep, I'm watching you!
 Just like a parade.
 Everybody still with me?
Then came the clowns, A Bufflehead and a Horned Grebe. This was the first horned Grebe that I have come across. They have really weird eyes!
