Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

The "Magic" 500

This is the 500th post from wildwestfarm.blogspot.com since I started it in October 2009. I can't believe that it is still going. Normally my attention span is quite a bit shorter than this.

500 posts, almost 33000 page views and consistently 100 followers later, it is still intriguing to me. The blog has allowed me to "meet" people from all over the world in 83 countries so far. Many of the viewers are folks like myself, reaching out for better ways to enjoy rural farming, horses and wild life. God has so blessed us where we are and what we do!

Unfortunately fellow bloggers "disappear" after a while, and I often wonder, why? For what reasons? And how are they doing in a life without blogging. I guess the only answer is" Life happens".

I have seen the works of many excellent photographers, many of whom I am extremely envious of. I have read many interesting theological blogs that remind me of how much I have still to learn.

I have enjoyed the comments on "My Testimony". It took several months of praying before I opened up that much in writing. It is an amazing God that we serve. It is interesting to note that this is the second most commented  post that I have submitted. Hopefully, it will give others that may have struggled the way we did, some hope and guidance on how to improve their situation.

To all my fellow bloggers  I say"Thank you for your support and kind words over the years and all your helpful ideas about how to do things on the acreage when I was stumped. May God bless you in the future. Keep on blogging! It makes the world smaller and friendlier"
