Groundhog Day

I was fortunate today to find this groundhog making a den. He wouldn't come all the way out, but I know where he is, and I will see him again!


He was pretty laid back when he wasn't tossing dirt out.


I was fortunate to see his tail flick as I was going past. It is pretty hard to see the den otherwise.



His little paws are kind of weird.

    The only time I have seen a Groundhog is when I watched the movie with the same name, so have to say thank you for these photos they kinda look cute but doubt they really are

    We have a mom and babies residing in our barn, for the time being! Around here people call them whistle pigs.
