Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

An Hour With the Sandhill Cranes

For those of you that have never seen these birds, they are massive, with a wing span of 80 inches or 2 meters. The length is about 4 feet.

I think they are getting close to nesting time as there were quite a few squabbles going on.

Who started it is hard to say. One minute they are peaceful and the next the feathers are flying!

 And flying

And flying

Nobody seemed to get hurt, although a few feathers were ruffled (pun intended).

All in all quite an elegant bird!
