Portraits of Pine Grosbeaks

2016 started out good at the feeder! Male and Female pine Grosbeaks showed up and stayed for quite a while, munching on tree berries and sunflower seeds


 The colouring on the males was fantastic!

 The females weren't too shabby either!

    I enjoy seeing these birds. Last spring I had several at my feeders. Haven't seen them since.

    Beautiful! I had a yard full of cardinals this morning, but they soon flew off and haven't returned. :(

    So beautiful.... I wonder...why did God make most of the animal males....so much better looking than the females.....
