Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Evening Grosbeaks

These two have been coming to the feeder in the early mornings for the last couple of days.

The male looks kind of grumpy, but he seems to get along OK.
The female is much more cheerful looking and not quite as watchful.
I would have thought that they would be nesting by now, but I guess not
Hopefully they will keep coming back for the summer.

  3. Lucky you! They only ever pass through briefly - they never stay!

  4. What a treat - those down turned beaks do make them look a bit grumpy. Maybe they've already hatched out their clutch and are pair feeding! Hard to say.
