Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

More About the Pond

The Pond was formed by excavating gravel and eventually will have houses all the way around it. It's on the flood plain of the Athabasca River so the water level fluctuates as the river level goes up or down. The development is advertised as "Whitecourt's Only Waterfront Property". Go figure!

The only thing in the pond this afternoon was the Swamp Rat
I fgured it was getting too cold, but she was insistent on a swim

Aww- she looks determined to get wet! I like the description..even if they are stretching the truth a little calling it waterfront property..:)

She enjoys the water like our dogs. They can't pass a puddle without getting wet.

She's a good-looking dog, and that's a beautiful pond! Enjoyed the photo of her swimming!
