Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

I Said I Wouldn't, But..

After three days work with rake, shovel and wheelbarrow, I do feel rather proud of this pile. By this time next year the pre-compost will turn into compost, rich, black and loamy smelling, ready to grow lots of things!

It was a sort of lazy day after the pile was finished, the raspberry bushes thinned and the horses groomed. They went to sleep as did I , for about 2 hours. I missed the new version of the Avengers, but what I saw, was well worth sleeping through.
Brooklyn also decided to take a nap in the shade.
It was that sort of day!

Boots and his horses amaze me. I don't think I've seen a photo where he wasn't focused on them. lol Great pre-compost pile. Mine is quite small at this point. May your compost bring many good plants!

lol, Ian, no wonder you make comments about our tractor. Martin just ordered a manure fork at long last!

I just don't see a problem with a nap after a busy day's work... we take them here, too!
