Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Old enough to be eccentric, but not rich enough

A Week of Great Weather!

With temperatures ranging from +1 to +10 C in the daytime, the snow pack has dropped a lot! Brooklyn can now navigate almost anywhere without sinking or plowing.

This pile of wood was missed in the big burn, clean-up. It was buried.
Overall the view looks much the same, but there is only about a foot of hard snow left.
The sitting rock and climbing -on-horse- rock is starting to make an appearance again.
The neighbour's horses are out grazing. This is a south facing hillside, so gets a lot more sunlight.

Spring! It's getting closer!

  3. Snow seems to be melting a bit around here, too. But I'm not quite ready for winter to end yet.

  4. don't you just love it when there is a beginning of a dip in the snow, you know its only a few more months till it's gone (that's me being facetious)!

  5. It is always so motivating to see small signs of spring!
