Alpine is looking pretty shiny. I got 2 hours trail riding on her this weekend. She is still a little frisky, but settles down after one or two one-rein stops.
The three lawnmowers finished up trimming the driveway on Sunday. The grass was pretty long and I am surprised (pleasantly) that it took a week to get the job done.
With my youngest son and oldest grand daughter off to Uganda, we get Mad Max to help entertain Brooklynn. They get along extremely well, and are very tired at day's end. Mike and Adelle are off with a group of 15 from SOS Ministries on an eighteen day mission trip. We heard that they arrived in Entebe on Sunday with no delays. I imagine they will all be very tired after the trip to London, 8 hour layover and flight to Entebe. It likely will be a life changing event for all of them,
The raspberry crop continues to produce and there are now 7 gallons of berries frozen and bagged in the freezer. Mid August is upon us which means winter is not far away. Blahhh!
The weekend was great and I got 4 hours of riding in, 2 hours on Biz and 2 hours on Alpine. Elaine was down, but not out, with a severe cold or?
It appears that it may be cheaper to change out the motor on my truck than to replace the head. With Mike and Adelle away, I get the use of Mike's truck until the end of the month. Hopefully, I can get mine back on the road by then.
Life is real good on the Acreage!

ReplyDeleteSounds like you are enjoying the month of August. It is flying by here as well. With school back in session, it seems the days go by even faster.
ReplyDeleteThe "gang" looks quite content with the lawn mowing resposibilities. I imagine going to Uganda will be a profound life changing event, good for them! I hope Elaine is back up and about soon, summers' running out. It feels like it's just getting started here. I am hoping for an Indian summer.

ReplyDeleteI have a 1/2 pasture full of rich pasture grass that is 3 feet high and rising, they can come down and have all they want.
