Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

How Do They Do It?

It seems that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. However, he can find a mud hole anywhere, even when things are dried up .

It's the same with Biz. Note the scar on the shoulder from a kick in her younger life, also the hole in her neck where someone severed a muscle. Neither seem to bother her performance, or her desire to "get down and dirty".

  3. Mine, too, seem to find the mud. I believe it helps with biting insects and they do so enjoy it.

Your first horse reminds me a lot of Knot, one of mine.

  7. They sound much like my dogs. Always dirty...but usually happy.
