Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

A Good Start to a New Year!

What better way to send out the old and welcome in the new than sitting around a living room munching on goodies and talking with good friends! It appeared that we were going to do our normal thing, sit around, watch TV and get to bed by 9:30 pm. Our friends in the next town, about 45 km away, asked us over and we accepted. It was a good evening. The trip to and from was cold at -35C and the truck was struggling for quite a while to get the cab temperature up to the point where the gloves could come off. However, we made it and had a good time!

2009 was a good year with many blessings. Good health, good friends and lots of fun on the acreage. Our spiritual growth continues. We have had a few bad times during the year, but have managed to weather them ok. We both hope that 2010 will allow further growth in the Word of God, and in our efforts to help others.
Having said all that, Happy New Years to all.

Oh yeah, we almost made it to midnight, but not quite.

I pray you and your family have a great new year. Ron

P.S. The lazy Old Geezer hasn't made it to midnight for many years.

  2. We never make it to midnight,we barely make it up past the chickens.Sometimes we even rush them in the coop early because we want to go to bed!Farm life has that affect!

It is amazing once we love the Lord, how we weather things differently and come through better because we know He was by our side!I pray a blessed new year for you all!
