Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

As we are Approaching the Christmas Season

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
-The Bible, Acts 20:35 (King James Version):

As we have done in the past few years we are "giving" animals to needy families in third world countries through World Vision. Our grandchildren got to pick their choices (within reason) as to what they wanted to give. We in Canada are so blessed, that it seems the right thing to do. Now that they have seen the chicken and turkey process from start to finish, they can appreciate how important a gift of 2 hens and a rooster, or a pig can be to those that are struggling for the proper nutrition. Managed well, they can supply themselves, sell produce and have meat over time. Besides, it really feels good to help others over the holiday season.

Merry Christmas!

The Lord also loves to help the poor.

    Psalm 72:13
He will have compassion on the poor and needy,And the lives of the needy he will save.
