Small Bird Day
While sitting on a stump having some lunch, I was visited by this Downey Woodpecker.
It was unusual to see him eating seeds that birds like the Chickadee normally eat.
The Black Capped Chickadee did not seem to mind sharing.
Every day is a good day! Some are just gooder than others!
Your Downey Woodpecker must have needed some fuel to not be too picky about what tank she pulled up to! Sorry, that sentence could use some work. . . Here in my little area of Oregon (outside Portland) the woodpeckers appear to be partial to only good quality suet.
