Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

Northern Flicker

It was a cold, blustery, drizzly day, but I still decided to do my walk around Rotary Park. I was glad I did because I caught this Flicker out in the open, eating ants. He was quite content and laid back.

As far as the Ospreys go, I have only seen one head so far. If you look close you can see the chick .

  1. I love the Flickers... except when they are hammering on our metal stovepipe!
Nice you can monitor the Osprey nest, lucky you!

  2. Flickers have such a variety of color and pattern. Glad you found him so up close.
