American Gold Finches

This was a busy half hour at the feeder

 The male was kind of shy.


 I kept waiting for him to toss it down without shelling it. Obviously, he's done this before. Lots!

Let's hope they stick around over the winter.

    I'd bet if you keep the food out they will, mine have although I always have to double take when I see them in their winter clothes.
