Life On and Off an Acreage

In-sights into moving from an Acreage back to Town, plus a few things I find of interest.

Two things that horses are scared about:

1. Things that move
2. Things that don't move

It Never Ends!

Our garden crops have been fantastic this year! So far, six rhubarb pies, 4 rhubarb crumbles in the freezer and now starting on apple pies. There are 7 of these apple dudes in the freezer and one sacrificed to establish that they are edible. They are! And then some!

Now, what to do with the remaining sixty or so pounds of apples that are still on the trees?
Any suggestions?

  1. Applesauce, apple juice, apple cider, apple cobbler, apple crumble, dehydrated apple rings...

  2. You two are industrious! I would dry the rest. Maybe some applesauce.

  3. Applesauce! Sounds like you have a lot of work cut out for you. The pies sound good--glad you made the sacrifice to ensure they are edible.
